Activities for Participating Companies
The SUSBIZ Kenya Programme involves a variety of activities aimed at promoting sustainable business development and strategic CSR in the Kenyan companies. The major focus is on building capacity and facilitating dialogue between the participants in the programme.
With regard to implementation in the individual companies, the programme utilises the PDCA management model (Plan, Do, Check, Act), which describes four continual phases in carrying out change.
Plan: Identify needs, establish objectives and specify targets
Do: Implement initiatives appropriate for meeting the objectives and targets
Check: Measure and evaluate the process and results against the specified targets
Act: Analyse differences between results and targets. Identify where to apply changes to the process or initiatives in order secure continual improvements and continue the PDCA circle by establishing new objectives and targets in a new `Plan´ phase.
