The SUSBIZ Kenya Programme

Partnerships for Sustainable Business Development in Kenya – SUSBIZ Kenya – is a Danish-Kenyan multistakeholder initiative building on the SUSBIZ Concept customised to the Kenyan context. The programme facilitates collaboration on strategic CSR and sustainable business development between 10 Kenyan companies and their respective Danish business partners. The programme integrates capacity building within socially and environmentally responsible business conduct, with strategic business development within the Kenyan companies.

The business relations between the 10 pairs of participants are both traditional buyer-supplier relations, franchise relations, subsidiaries, and other forms of business relations. Though the main focus of the programme is the Kenyan businesses, the Danish counterparts are actively participating throughout the programme, mainly by engaging in dialogue, network activities and knowledge sharing.

The SUSBIZ Kenya Programme is designed and run by the Danish Federation of SME’s, the Danish Ministry of Business and Growth and the Federation of Kenya Employers. The programme is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark  and runs from July 2011 to July 2013.

The programme concept builds on the now finalised programme on sustainable business development in India, SUSBIZ India.
